JPS / Operation SYNDICATE
The air seems strangely calm, husbands kiss wives, children play unaware of the pending change, life as they knew it would never be the same again. The spread of information intensifies, people are more aware.
Rebellion looms, they are no longer slaves of autocratic tyrants, corporate monsters who seek to control them with threats of physical destruction and mind numbing media bacteria that infect the depths of the soul.
Revolt, she has arrived…The battles wage on and the rumble carries through the earth, but there already is unbalance, shifting time, as it moves into a new age, walls tumble and the seas grow. The future is unknown, but life carries on for the chosen few.
- Dedicated to all those in strife all over the world……… let us unite and turn this world around.

SYNDICATE Beats on Ninja Tune/ Solid Steel Radio Show!
DJ Irk steps back up to the Solid Steel decks for the first time since winning last year’s MOTY title, bringing with him his usual knack for juxtaposing quality track sequences with detailed scratch prowess and absurd sampling.
He sets up with another signature hiphop intro, then makes a break for some bone-crunching beats from the likes of Broken Note, Bassnectar and King Cannibal.
Then it’s on to some electro-hiphop flavours, showcasing a bunch of great new sounds from friendly producers the world over, including Dizz1, Cherry Chan and Kiat, and Irk’s Montreal-based pal Living Stone.
Throw in a Bonobo track from the NinjaTune XX celebrations and a couple of UK hiphop giants on the way then it’s over to the dubstep and breaks for a solid landing.
Great mix to check out before the SYNDICATE audiovisual show featuring JPS from The Operatives on 2nd April. See you all on Saturday!

Max Lane on Urban Waves
A track by Max Lane has been recently featured in a free beats compilation released by Belgium-based label, Urban Waves.
Exploring all kinds of urban music featuring artists from all over the world, this compilation is totally free. It’s made of new and exclusive material, some tracks that were already posted but never accessible to download, and another few that came from recent releases. In other words a lot of fine artists to discover or rediscover.

2010: A SYNDICATE Odyssey

Slightly more than a year ago, a bunch of us got together to mastermind a new movement that will take sterile Singapore by storm.
Well, not really. We were just a bored bunch entertaining our delusions by thinking of a monthly night that blends the earworms in our collective play-lists and eye-candy clips we so often see on createdigitalmotion.com.
Despite the delusions, there was somehow a silent consensual agreement amongst our adult selves that the concept will fade away after 6 months and we will resume with our lives till the next crazy idea hits us. Fast-forward 12 months later, well, that didn’t happen too.

Gonzo / A Dub Odyssey
What better way to wind down after a crazy year of beats, bassbins and vibes than to have a year-end mix prepared for us by the one and only Gonzo, SYNDICATE’s unofficial favourite downtempo DJ! Slip this mix on, turn down the lights, turn up the bass and drift into dub bliss…
About Gonzo
adj. [ˈgän-(ˌ)zō]
1. idiosyncratically subjective but engagé
2. freewheeling or unconventional especially to the point of outrageousness
3. bizarre, weird, crazy, eccentric
Gonzo is all about discovering strange things that have been ignored and rediscovering old things that have been forgotten. A regular flea market enthusiast in all the countries he calls home (Mexico, France, Singapore to name only the last three), he looks for forgotten music, unknown films, discarded photos or abandoned furniture, and always manages to transform them into something appealing.
