We are also holding a special RBMA workshop in the earlier part of the evening at 8PM. The open and relaxed workshop will include :

1. Sharing session by 2010 RBMA London alumni – Kidkanevil + Daisuke Tanabe + Cherry Chan

2. Introduction to the world of sound art by 2008 RBMA Barcelona alumni SonicBrat, an incredible sound artist and composer

3. Roundtable discussion on marketing yourself as an artist with 2005 RBMA Seattle alumni Debbie Chia and Qilin label owner Kiat.

A Q&A session will follow where you will have the opportunity to ask all artists any question you think are relevant. Workshop size is limited to 40 pax.

Come 4 DEC 2010, SYNDICATE wraps its inaugural year with a Red Bull Music Academy (RBMA) Special. RBMA London 2010 alumni, Kidkanevil and Daisuke Tanabe join our own Singapore representative, Cherry Chan, for a mini get together that covers a wide range of the electronic spectrum.

Joining Kidkanevil & Tanabe is the SYNDICATE stable comprising of Cherry Chan, Max Lane, Kiat and Sammy Panamuga. The collective’s projection mapping specialist, Brandon Tay, will pilot the visuals for the night.

We will also be hosting a RBMA Workshop session earlier in the evening, where Kidkanevil, Daisuke Tanabe and Cherry Chan, as well as Singapore’s RBMA represensative for 2008, Sonicbrat, will be sharing their RBMA experiences and music production process with aspiring DJs and producers.

If you missed us at Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Festival Singapore 2010, here’s the recap. We transformed Zouk’s Winebar into an audiovisual spectacular with:

· visual sets from Brandon Tay and Rafi Dean
· DJ sets from Sammy Panamuga and Cherry Chan
· live sets from Max Lane and Kiat

Big ups to Spikey Tee, Michaela Therese and Izaak Stern for the mic action, Kaye for jumping on with his saxophone and Dorian Concept for the live keys on his Microkorg!

SYNDICATE swings into its third installment with a list of special guests. As Cherry Chan heads out to London for the Redbull Music Academy 2010, Sammy Panamuga takes over with her own brand of cinematic sounds.

The SYNDICATE decks will also be graced by Funk Bast*rd and Ramesh K, who are known for nothing but their quality selections. Meanwhile, resident visual junkie, Rafi Dean, moves from behind the projection walls to the sound console to deliver his maiden live set.

And for the first time ever, SYNDICATE will play host to a guest visual artist, Brandon Tay. Brandon has provided live visuals for Cut Copy and is also known for his involvements in music videos by the Van She & Midnight Juggernauts.
